The Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam is pleased to share the invitation from the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to Voices from the Field (VFTF), a webinar series (3 sessions) discussing Filipino Identity and Contemporary Cultural Practice, held in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Month in the Philippines and Filipino American History Month in the USA.
The first session of Voices from the Field shall be held on October 15, Thursday, 6pm PST/ 9pm EST (USA) (Friday, 16 October 2020, 11:00 AM Guam time), entitled AKO o TAYO? (F/P)ILIPIN(A/O/X) Multidisciplinary Conversations on Filipino Identity and Cultural Consumption.
The second session will be held on Friday, 23 October 2020, 11:00 AM Guam time, entitled APPROPRIATE OR APPROPRIATION? In Praxis: Ethics, Aesthetics, and everything in between.
The third and final session will be held on Friday, 30 October 2020, 11:00 AM Guam time, entitled INDIGENOUS SYMBOLISM AND PLURALITY IN CONTEMPORARY PERFORMANCE: Dialogue on sensibilities, sensitivities, and presenting "Filipino".
