Visa Policy for U.S. Citizens

The Philippine Consulate General in Agana (Guam) informs the general public that the Guidelines on the Entry of Temporary Visitors to the Philippines, posted on the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs, remain unchanged and still apply.

Hence, unless otherwise changed, U.S. citizens who are traveling to the Philippines for business / tourism purposes (including medical tourism) are allowed to enter the Philippines WITHOUT need of a visa for a period of stay not to exceed THIRTY (30) days; provided that they hold valid tickets for their return journey to the port of origin or onward travel to the next port of destination; and that their passports have a validity of no less than six (6) months beyond their intended period of stay.

Former Filipino citizens, their foreign spouses, and minor dependents who are not restricted nationals may avail of the Balikbayan privilege at entry upon presenting supporting documents (e.g. old PHL passport, or PSA birth certificate). The foreign spouse and minor children should also present substantial proof of their relation to the balikbayan (e.g. marriage certificate or birth certificate).
